Babydoll Southdown Sheep lambing season update

Updated: February 4, 2012

The new born Babydoll Southdown lambs Will be here soon. Time passes very  quickly this time of year and the lambs will be here before you know it. We will see our first lambs around March 1st. We are still collecting a few more deposits for the 2012 Babydoll Southdown lambing season.

However we can only take a few more deposits to ensure everyone with lambs on hold will get what they're hoping for.

Babydoll lambs will be here hopping around before you know it so don't miss out on the Babydoll lambs you are hopping for. Each year I talk to people who are disappointed because they missed out. Don't let that be you.

We put together two short YouTube videos to give you an idea what our lambing time is like and what it means to us.

About our Babydoll Southdown Sheep and Babydoll Lambs

Babydoll Southdown sheep or their more formal name Old English Southdown sheep and lambs have been a wonderful addition to our family and can be a wonderful addition to your family that will give you years of pleasure. We apply only the best in breeding practices making every attempt to enhance the best qualities and keeping the bloodlines far apart producing healthy lambs.

When we started our flock of Babydoll Southdown sheep and anytime we added sheep to our flock in the following years after, we handpicked them from other Babydoll Southdown sheep breeders large and small. We continue to search out and only accept into our breeding program the sheep and lambs with good dispositions, conformation, fiber quality, color, and most of all healthy history. We do our best to only own and breed Babydoll Southdown sheep that represent the best in breed qualities they are so well known for.

Our flock of Babydoll Southdown sheep is made up of colors ranging from natural color black that are hard to find in the Babydoll Southdown sheep. The natural dark colors rang from light to dark rich looking natural browns. We also have a few white Babydoll Southdown sheep and we are starting to breed Spotted Babydoll Southdown sheep to get the beautiful spotted Babydoll lambs many people like. All of our Babydoll Southdown sheep and the new Babydoll lambs are registered with the original Old English Southdown Sheep Registry that Mr. Robert Mock started in 1991.

Our flock of Old English Babydoll sheep and Babydoll lambs share our pastures and get along very well with our horses and goats. Babydoll lambs do their best and must be in a flock of two or more, but do to their gentle nature Babydoll lambs get along very well with other animals.

AFTER THE SALE SUPPORT

What I feel sets us apart from other Babydoll Southdown sheep breeders is our “after the sale” support we continue to provide to our customers after they bring home their new Babydoll lambs. We feel it is very important for a Babydoll lamb breeder to be there to answer questions that may come up about the Babydoll lambs, and there will be questions.

After you bring your new Babydoll lambs home we will be just a phone call away when you need us. Babydoll Southdown Sheep have been a wonderful part of our farm and Babydoll lambs will be a wonderful addition to your family as well. Our after the sale support will be the icing on the cake that will make owning your Babydoll lambs that much easier. We want you as the new owner to do well and to fully enjoy you Babydoll lambs. But there will always be a part of us that will consider your Babydoll lambs as our Babydoll lambs and we will always want the best for them.

We have been told by our customers that good Babydoll Southdown Sheep breeders are very hard to find. I can tell you our Babydoll lambs went to homes in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Illinois, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, New York, Connecticut, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia, and Maryland.

People often ask me what is the most important thing to look for when shopping for their first Babydoll lambs. I tell them that after you decide to move forward and get some Babydoll Southdown Sheep and Babydoll Lambs of their own, the most important thing to look for is not the color, look, or the price of the Babydoll lambs. The most important thing they want to find is a good  Babydoll lamb breeder that will be their for them if they ever need help. It is hard to understand how important the breeder is unless you need their advice or help and you do not have it.

We are located in north east Carroll County Maryland just 20 miles north of Baltimore and 25 miles south of York Pennsylvania.

We are now accepting deposits for the upcoming Babydoll lambing season. Please give us a call if we can answer any questions about our Babydoll  Southdown Sheep or Babydoll Lambs. Also please feel free to let us know if you would like to visit Sweetwater Farm and meet the Babydoll Southdown Sheep in person.

Please enjoy the pictures of our Babydoll Southdown Sheep and information you find on our web site.
